Things I Want People to know About My Deaf Children

Thank you for supporting my work!

I know you could just “take” it from the internet, so I really appreciate you valuing my words!

This is based off one of my most shared blog pieces. I wrote it after a family member was visiting and talking quietly to both our kids from across the room with their back turned. Not surprisingly, the kids didn’t hear them. It occurred to me that if a family member doesn’t understand what it’s like to be deaf or hard of hearing, then surely most of the general public does not either. I am grateful this piece has been shared all over the globe and has had the ability to educate and spread awareness.
